Julie Lardenoit

Environmental Systems Design, Inc.

Julie Lardenoit has worn many hats during her 20+-year tenure with ESD, an engineering consulting company that seeks to improve society through the built environment. She has worked in each of the market verticals — commercial interiors, mission critical facilities, and high-performance buildings. Julie opened and led ESD’s first international office in Abu Dhabi for about a decade. She returned to ESD’s Chicago office to lead the commercial interiors group in 2018. 

Julie is an active member of several professional organizations including Professional Women in Construction where she serves on the Sponsorship Committee and International Women’s Forum where she serves on the Program committee. She is the chairperson of ESD’s women’s group, ESD NEW. In 2021, Julie was featured in Crain’s Notable Women in Construction and Design. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Julie has explored more than 30 countries on six continents.
